The Washington &
Arlington Community Bike Ride
The Bike DC Route
The 20-mile Bike DC route begins on the National Mall just west of the U. S. Capitol. The entire ride is on streets closed to motorized traffic.
Registration and Will Call opens at 6:30 a.m. at Third Street and Jefferson Drive NW, near the National Museum of the American Indian.
The ride starts at 7:30 a.m. at Third Street and Madison Drive NW, near the National Gallery of Art East Building. All participants need to be to the start line by 8 a.m. If needed you will have three and one half hours to complete the ride.
Start and finish lines (Walt Whitman Park, E Street and 20th Street NW) are in different locations, about two miles apart. This is an unfortunate requirement of our permits.

Metro
Metro opens at 7 a.m. on Sunday morning. You may bring your bike on Metro. L'Enfant Plaza, Federal Center SW, Archives-Navy Memorial and Judiciary Square stations are all within a few blocks of the start line. Foggy Bottom is the nearest Metro Station to finish line.
Parking
Parking meters in downtown Washington are free on Sunday morning. Street parking is the best option for those driving to the ride. Consider parking some place between the start line and the finish line.
Need a Short Cut?
Is 20 miles too long? You will have the opportunity to take short cuts on the ride-mostly on the George Washington Memorial Parkway--to reduce the distance of the ride. The shortest option is about 10 miles long.
